SHIP-TRAP day three

33 players remaining

The bell rings for dinner at 6PM, and you're lead to that familiar door once again. The door opens with a sensation of warm, humid air, and there's the sight of a open staircase winding down. Ivan ushers you into an open cave before she locks the door after everyone. A large table is inexplicably set for as many places as there are people. You'll find dinner already set (though those that requested something else will receive that), and for those that have already were killed on previous days, you'll find their meal replaced with a framed portrait sketched in pencil.

As you come to your conclusions about who to vote for, you can approach a table in a room to the side and write your vote before placing it in an ornate box. When you place your vote, there's the sound of a deep bell tolling. When you return to your place at the table, you'll find a glass of port waiting for you.

You have until 9PM to discuss and vote for who you think The General is.

[Clarine follows suit, though she carefully unwraps the lollipop Stocking gave her first, putting it in her mouth. She thinks that Stocking would prefer it get eaten, even though it had been a security blanket of sorts for her.

And then she mimics Jason and carefully places the smoothed out and folded up wrapper at Stocking's place.]

Hey. [His voice is stern, but when Clarine looks, his face won't be. He nods faintly with a jerk of his chin.] She'd be glad you ate it.

[She starts at his voice, but manages a weak smile in response to that, pulling out the lollipop to speak.]

Yes...I thought she would. She gave it to me to help me. [and she can't think of a time more than this that she needs help.]

...She would have been grateful for yours as well. That was very kind.

I weaseled mine out of her. But she gave it because she was a good person somewhere beneath all that fructose corn syrup. [He watches Clarine a moment, then looks away.]

You can eat mine too, if you want. Don't want her haunting me from the grave just because I didn't eat a damn sucker.

[She can't quite bring herself to laugh, but...]

I suppose it would be for the best. [The candy doesn't even taste good on her tongue right now, not knowing everything that happened and is happening, but...] I could imagine her haunting someone for not properly finishing their sugar.
