day six - execution.
SHIP-TRAP day six ![]() 15 players remaining A clock chimes 9 PM, and Ivan turns her attention to the wall where the familiar symbol has been watching them. The eye blinks, then opens wide. It gets larger and larger until it's the size of a tv screen. The features of the eye melt away, and up flashes a list of names and votes. The bricks shift underneath the eye, and she stands to go collect a box that's partially pushed out in their place. She walks back to the head of the table and sets the box down before she opens it. She pulls out a pistol, a knife, and a hammer, which she sets on the table first, and then two pieces of paper. One piece of paper is labelled Hunted and the other is labelled Hunter in a neat, elegant script. She opens "Hunted" first and reads in a clear voice: "You have chosen Rei Hazama," she pauses, then continues, "They are Innocent." The paper labelled "Hunter" is taken next, which she reads in the same way. "Hajime Hinata has been chosen as the Hunter." She lowers the paper and stares at the person whose name she had just read. "Choose your weapon and kill them." character statuses private conversations graveyard This is a general post-vote mingle covering the execution. Night posts will go up tomorrow morning. |

Reimu, at this rate you're gonna have to look for your mom in the afterlife to punch her yourself, even if she is still alive...

But she does come to lean against Kogasa, next to her on the wall.
It won't be okay, but...they have to do what they can to stay standing even so.
Right?]

It's been six days, and Kogasa is running out of things to stay positive about. They got a General last night, but today, they killed another innocent person, and they might not get a chance to catch another one. The number of people who die goes up every night, and Kogasa doesn't know if the math will work out. They don't know how many Generals there are, but there will almost certainly be less than ten people left the next day.
She sniffles and tries to dry her eyes, but six days into it, Kogasa finally cries, sobbing as quietly as she can into her hands.]

Gently, Clarine reaches out, tentative but determined, and rests her hands on Kogasa's shoulders. And then, equally tentative, she wraps her arms around her.
She can't say it will be okay. But she wants to do what she can, at least, to keep Kogasa together.]

[They keep messing up, and it's not like home. When she messes up at home, Byakuren chides her, or one of those shrine maidens pelts her with spells until she goes home, or that tengu reporter writes another one of her weird, funny articles. When she messes up here, she's one step closer to dying.
She's considered becoming a regular umbrella in the past, but she'd still be there, if she did that. If she dies here, what will happen to her? Nobody can reforge her, like the swords. No one cares about an ugly purple umbrella.]
I don't wanna die, but we keep messing up, and...!
[And she can't deal with this anymore.]

There's no guarantee that they're not going to die.
They are probably going to die.
So all she can do is hold Kogasa close in an awkward hug (Clarine has never been one for physical contact, but here they are) and hope for the best.]
... I am sorry. I am so...sorry...

If I die tonight, take care of my umbrella, okay? You can - you can take the tongue off and paint over the eye, and take the sock off, and you can even burn it if you can't keep it, but you can't ever, ever throw it out, okay? It - I've, we...
[She hasn't stumbled this badly with referring to her umbrella since right after she woke up.]
Even if I have to die, I don't want to be thrown out again, too.
[She'll try to smile again later, but for now, six days' worth of negativity already has Kogasa thinking the worst.]

Kogasa... I shall keep it. If... should the worst happen... [She's praying it won't, but she knows better at this point. They never know.]
I shall keep your umbrella. A-and... I shall certainly not take the tongue off and paint over the eye and take the sock off... i-it is... it has its...own charm...!
[A sniff, and she bites her lip.]
