day two - execution.
SHIP-TRAP day two ![]() 36 players remaining A clock chimes 9 PM, and Ivan turns her attention to the wall where the familiar symbol has been watching them. The eye blinks, then opens wide. It gets larger and larger until it's the size of a tv screen. The features of the eye melt away, and up flashes a list of names and votes. The bricks shift underneath the eye, and she stands to go collect a box that's partially pushed out in their place. She walks back to the head of the table and sets the box down before she opens it. She pulls out a pistol, a knife, and a hammer, which she sets on the table first, and then two pieces of paper. One piece of paper is labelled Hunted and the other is labelled Hunter in a neat, elegant script. She opens "Hunted" first and reads in a clear voice: "You have chosen Sephiroth," she pauses, then continues, "They are Innocent." The paper labelled "Hunter" is taken next, which she reads in the same way. "Royce Melborn has been chosen as the Hunter." She lowers the paper and stares at the person whose name she had just read. "Choose your weapon and kill them." character statuses private conversations graveyard This is a general post-vote mingle covering the execution. Night posts will go up tomorrow morning. |

[ But it is not just 'who he was' that he wanted Clarine to remember. ]
I am General Sephiroth, First-Class SOLDIER of the Shinra Military, with a myriad of successes and of course one fatal failure. The world I came from was called Gaia, and a city there, Midgard. Of course, not everything was perfect, but it's a place I will miss.
I can safely say that this world is easily not my own, and that I've failed to return properly to my home after those earlier turn of events. My attempt at leadership was inadequate, but perhaps this will serve as a lesson. A lesson more for the others, than for myself.
[ And now he can be fine with dying. Of course he planned to throw in a little action, but at this point, he was finally more than okay with it. ]

[That much, she can assure him; it is seared into her memory, and she is glad for it. It is guilt she must carry for the rest of her life--however long that may be, here. Days, perhaps. Even hours, if she is particularly unlucky. She knows that much.
It doesn't matter though. She'll press this all into her memory for as long as she draws breath, and her gaze is steady when she looks at him, even if it also hurts.]
General Sephiroth... your city and your world were served well by a soldier of your caliber. [She's hardly in a proper position to say such things, but she has heard her brother praise generals of his own in a manner much like this. The words are right there, and she knows they are right to say.
And then she ruins her poise with a shuddering breath, before she nods weakly.]
... I will remember...all of it. I swear it.
