In fact, it seems like that same unseen force is compelling you to, since the longer you stay in the jungle, the more you feel the unsettling feeling of being watched. When you arrive, Iván is waiting at the foot of the stairs to greet you. "Good morning. Breakfast is waiting in the dining room." You have until 6PM to explore the grounds of the mansion and talk amongst yourselves. Or people are just killing each other during the night because tensions are high. I don't see why roles necessarily need to be part of it. [ Royce is just saying. ]

That's... a definite possibility, too.

I'd like to think there's no one here who would do that, but...

But you'd be wrong. [ Royce finishes for him, almost idly, picking at his food. ] If you put a group of people in a dark jungle after a day of trying to figure out who murdered who you're going to have quite a few of them on edge. Give them all weapons and you wake up to three people missing.

Not everybody here has their own weapon, though. That's... where the roles come in. That's the only way some people would have a weapon, right?

I didn't say all of the deaths were just people killing each other without a role. Just that a role isn't necessary for someone to kill someone else.

There are plenty who do have weapons, and I'm sure there are more who could easily fashion their own.

In these circumstances, though, you'd think... even if they were really angry, or really certain, they still wouldn't act on their own. That's what keeps bugging me about that. Like... if you have really strong suspicions, why not bring them up during discussion? Otherwise, there'd... be no one to vote for.

But yeah, we... need to find the bodies before anything else.

Bringing up suspicions gets you voted for. That would be why. [ Shrug. Can't resist the last word. ]

It would be cheating if the General's crew was doing that. At least, I think it would be. [ a beat. ] I mean — It could be possible someone on our side is killing who they suspect might be guilty. Not that I agree with that, but..

Yeah, I... have to agree with what you're saying. I really don't think it's the General or the Foxhounds, otherwise... I think they'd have killed as many of us as possible the first night. Right?

Yeah.. So it only logically could be another role or someone going cowboy for some reason.

I... really want to think it's a role, because otherwise... why wouldn't someone bring their suspicions to trial instead of acting on their own? I can't imagine it.
